Why do we like this?

Last year, we introduced Jessy Lanza as a vocalist on Ikonika's "Beach Mode (Keep it Simple)." This year, we're showcasing Jessy's own work with the single "Keep Moving" off her debut album Pull My Hair Back (via Hyperdub Records).

The singer from Lake Ontario collaborated with Jeremy Greenspan (from the band Junior Boys) to produce her first album, which Pitchfork described as a "collection of glacial electo-R&B."

"Keep Moving" is like disco-funk meets electro pop, and it works very well. She's just had some tour dates in North America -- I'd be very interested to hear what her live show is like!
