Why do we like this?

Born into an acting family, singer-songwriter Jesse Macht is, above all else, a storyteller. Formerly withthe band Burn Down the Mission, Jesse’s sophomore album comes out in September.

Both the album and his lead single are titled “Suitcase Heart.” It is produced by Nashville’s Justin “Uncle” Tockett (Marc Broussard, Eli Teplin) and suggests the powerful depths of the soul, and the quiet ways individuals may control their fate after tragedy. Macht displays charming vocals, which should allow "Suitcase Heart" to garner him kudos.
