Why do we like this?

Jerry Paper's new single, or should I say demo, "New Chains" fits perfectly in the ever-evolving slacker-pop genre that we've all come to know and love.

To deconstruct this track is a true delight. The shakers paired with the barely-there beat leaves plenty of room for the rest of the instrumentals to shine through. The horns and synth closely resemble, but certainly don't outdo, one another. The shaker adds a tropical pop feel while the vocals match closely to the bellowing bass.
