Why do we like this?
I feel like there's a growing trend these days with awesome TV series' / movies reaching out to relevant artists for original contributions to their soundtracks. Case and point: the recent The Hunger Games soundtrack.
HBO's Girls is no stranger to this gimmick, and for their third season they've nabbed some pretty rad acts. The first to be made available is Jenny Lewis' "Completely Not Me."
On the song, the former Rilo Kiley / Postal Service singer is joined by Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij. Together they've crafted something beautifully alt-country; a thoroughly easy listening experience.
Stay tuned for further singles from the likes of Beck, M Ward, Father John Misty and a whole bunch more.
