Why do we like this?

"Take Me Down" is the mellifluous, minimal, and meditative new track from Jazz Morley. Opening with a repetitive guitar riff and Morley's lovely vocals, she transports you into the atmosphere with vulnerable lyrics and just the right amount of electronic production to complement the instrumentation.

This track is wonderfully honest. If you listen to the lyrics, she openly sings "I'm just jealous of you," recognizing and admitting her feelings before bursting into the layered and triumphant chorus in which she proclaims "you're not gonna take me down."

According to the artist:

"Take Me Down is about the struggle to overcome jealousy, and the feeling that you'll never compare to somebody else. It's the contradiction of desiring to be more like another and the adamance that you can rise above it."
