Why do we like this?
It feels like donkey's years since we last featured one of Sound Remedy's remixes, but the Indie Shuffle favorite is back -- and putting on a good show.
Whereas his more recent remixes tend to focus on female vocalists (London Grammar, Daughter), this release tackles Sydney-based future R&B singer Jaymes Young.
The combination of their sounds results in a dark, emotional remix that hearkens back to Sound Remedy's earlier days (in particular, his remix of Lupe Fiasco's "Words"). And given that that was one of my favorite remixes ever at the time, you can bet your buttons that this one's hitting the spot as well.
