Why do we like this?
I decided to do something a little different with tonight's Sunday Night Chill -- expand my musical horizons a bit.
Usually I feature mellow, electronic instrumental tracks that I think capture a specific mood or emotion. But sometimes when I'm unwinding, or working, or trying to fall asleep, or just trying to take my mind elsewhere, I need lyrics. I need someone else's voice in my head, taking over my thoughts.
Tonight, I bring you a handful of tracks that I've found solace in at one time or another. None of them feature a particular style of music (you'll hear elements of R&B, folk, indie rock, and electronic throughout the playlist), and all of them have lyrics.
While this may sound different than most SNC playlists, I still think it can take you to a transcendent, relaxing place -- if you let it. So close your eyes and let the words wash over you.
