Once again, Indie Shuffle proves that we're not just a bunch of talented writers, we're also exceptional musicians.
Gab Strum joined the Indie Shuffle ranks back in July, but little did I know that he was the individual behind the ambient electronic act Japanese Wallpaper.
The 16-year-old Melbournian (yep, I did say 16) has just released his first single, "Breathe In," from his upcoming EP which features the lush vocals of Brisbane's Wafia. The single is a wondrous piece of dreamy electronica, following the likes of Oliver Tank and Tycho, to name a few.
At such a young age you cannot fault the production in this piece. Gab has developed such a refined and well rounded sound in such a short amount of time, and I can't wait to see what's in store for us next.
Catch Japanese Wallpaper at Irene's Warehouse on October 27 for the single launch!
