Why do we like this?

The Tired Lonely City Wolf

Socializing, and the lack thereof, isn't a theme that needs to be driven home at all anymore in the context of today, but "Posing in Bondage" describes something far more than a need for it, it describes a hunger.

A staple of the lo-fi alt-pop scene, Japanese Breakfast has always been experimental, imaginative, expressive, and honest with their music. "Posing in Bondage" carries a soft edgy vocal layer that touches on this churning hunger for seeing someone. A bumping, almost club-like noise then adds to that, reminding us of those days of crowded spaces, and sweaty bodies.

The song carries this theme like a wolf ready to pounce, never exactly there, but always charged. It's a death-defying experience that leaves a mark...a wolf bite.
