Why do we like this?

Jany Green is from Anchorage, Alaska and this is his new single, “Suffocate." It was released April 6th through Nice Guys Records and his friend, Ralph Castelli, produced it. The bass and drums are the first thing we’re introduced to and it’s immediately engaging; the beat is fun and dance-inducing.

Jany is in charge of everything in his music: writing, recording, mixing, and he’s been doing a great job. It's apparent with this release.

The lyrics discuss themes of unhealthy dependency and trying way too hard to convince someone of loving you. It’s actually clever and funny, filling the song with verses that sound like compliments, but denote an almost pathological obsession. It’s pretty cool.

“You can lock me up, I will be happy in your cell and suffocate with you, baby, it ain’t hard to tell” .
