I'll be straight with you, I probably use words like "spectacular" and "stunning" a little too much. That said, when people are making music like this, can you really blame me?
Melbourne artist Jane Tyrell is today's subject matter. The talented singer/songwriter is beginning the lead-up to her debut album with the release of its first single, "Wild Waters".
This is a song that gets better each time you listen to it. It's not a complicated track that needs to sink in, but the scope of it really continues to grow. Funny enough, the track was produced by Pip Norman, whose side project 5THS we featured yesterday (busy man!). Norman's done a great job here too, combining delicate and stirring soundscapes with Tyrell's smoldering vocals.
Perhaps I need to mix up my vocabulary slightly, but I'm sure you'll agree with me here -- Jane Tyrell's "Wild Waters"? Stunning. Spectacular.
