Jamiroquai has delivered the second single from their forthcoming April release Automaton. "Cloud 9" channels the disco-pop that made people fall in love with Jamiroquai when they burst onto the scene in the 90s.
"'Cloud 9' is a song that's written in the style that I hope people know us for and are familiar with," frontman Jay Kay said in a statement. "It's a song that anyone that has been jilted and yet found love somewhere else will no doubt relate to … get in the car stick it on the radio and just drive."
"Cloud 9" is an infectious pop tune, and as Kay said, is more inline with their early work than the futuristic sounding first single "Automaton." Either way, the new record is shaping up nicely and already sounds like being a winner.
Automaton is set for release March 31.
