Why do we like this?

"Give Up" by James Vincent McMorrow gives voice to the nihilism of the era, and it's refreshingly honest.

"Give Up" is exactly what you think it is, a scathing review of the current emotional state of our Earth, but it's also a beautiful track to have, a track that is so honest that it's comforting. James Vincent McMorrow is an open book of an artist, someone who, without flinching, would explain their emotional state, their self-aware sadness, and with "Give Up" that openness gets a folk fuzz and buzzy percussion, a choir of youthful injections, and a beaming glow of realization.

"Give Up" is an open letter for the tired heart.
