Why do we like this?
Every day around 5pm in the evening I go through the same motions: checking left and right for new songs, trying to weed out a Song of the Day candidate. Most of the time that search goes on for a few hours, but I maintain my patience. Why? Well, this song.
The 1975's remix of "Cavalier" is one of the most beautiful tracks I've heard in ages. As Hilly Dilly points out, they "didn't just slap on some new drums, pitch shift the vocals and call it day; rather it seems they took their time with it." And the result really stands as a testament.
