For this 25-year-old Oslo native, a dedication to house music has proven massively beneficial. With big name support from producers like Solomun, Hot Since 82, Sasch, BBC and more -- plus hot label support from Noir Music, Supernature, OFF Recordings, Nurvous Records, Electronique, The House of Disco, LouLou Records, and Sleazy Deep -- he's got a super solid career assembling itself quite organically.
Finnebassen's dirty melancholic house music is deliciously smooth. It's journey-esque music, and melodically progressive -- apparently the product of much musical soul searching for the young emerging Norwegian artist.
His latest remix of James Blake's "Retrograde" is no exception to Finn's style. It's decisively matured, deep, melodic house, and probably my favorite Blake remix thus far.
