Why do we like this?
Czjeck it out. This is James Blake reworking an old track from his debut EP The Bells Sketch, courtesy of Benji B at BBC Radio One. Already proving to be a prolific producer, Blake will be featured with this track on a new compilation called 116 & Rising by the dubstep/techno label Hessle Audio, which first released his music. (Hessle was forged in me' own university town of Leeds no less, and named after a road a couple of streets down the way.)
Anywho, for any keen beans out there who thought Blake had "sold out" in his pursuit of the mainstream pop-rock audience (a la "Limit to your Love"), the craziness in "Give A Man A Rod Pt 2" should definitely show that he is still true to his dubstep roots and the lashings of electronic goodness present on CMYK et al.
As if one year in the quasi-limelight really makes someone lose their roots. Pfft.
