A melancholic narrative is made poignant by an utterly destructive slow-burn beat and progression.

James Blake and SZA has created something immensely expressive, "Coming Back" is a track that melts and bleeds into the pores of whoever is listening.

Not only is the track a perfect exercise in sensory irony, by making a sad vocal performance merge with the most joy-inducing collection of samples and instrumentation, but it also takes you with it without a single moment of disinterest. "Coming Back" takes your attention and makes you listen — it tells you about the past you shared, about the future you'll have, and about the mistakes they made.
