This is the type of music that takes me back to wanting to write again. The sort of gem you'd stumble across on SoundCloud back in 2k15 and could boast you found before the artist blew up.
Fast forward, SoundCloud is all but dead and my music discovery is at an all-time low, reduced to shoving a track into a burgeoning Spotify playlist and hoping I come across it regularly.
Despite having been allocated a spot in the aforementioned Spotify playlist, this gorgeous tune from anonymous Aussie producer Jadu Jadu has had my ears pricked since I first heard it back in December, and always warrants a repeat listen.
Having teamed up with UK beatmaker Tambala, and featuring London's Jaydonclover, "honey lemon tea" is a delicate RnB offering that ticks all the boxes.
Crisp beats, intricate sound design, and a multilayered, multigenre approach to song-making with an obvious influence of hip-hop and electronic music, married to soft piano keys and fuzzy synths.
Orgasmic and tasteful.
