Lately, I've been hard pressed to find tracks that appeal to me. I'm not sure if I'm looking for a particular sound or waiting for it to come into exsistence.
I do know that we are all in a major transition -- globally, cosmically, consciously, subconsciously, creatively, and what have you. It stands to reason then that every artist on this planet would be making some sort of transition as well. So, maybe we're in a musical rut.
Maybe I'm a bit outspoken for a music review, but that leads me to "Layfayette." Jacob Bech has borrowed the vocals of another outspoken female, Lauryn Hill, for his track "Layfayette." It's got that house/future garage sound that I haven't really been hearing too much of recently. When all else fails, retreat to what's comfortable, right? Right.
"Layfayette" is free for download so snag it and enjoy!
