Why do we like this?

J. Rocc is the Funky President. World-class DJ, premier beat digger, supreme record collector -- it should be no surprise that this music man makes fire beats as well. 

Beats on Tap(e) is a surprise release by Stones Throw, a cassette full of beats crafted by the OC-born, LA-bred prodigy. "Fire Dancer," the first (and maybe only) digital leak, is a mellow head-nodder that pays respect to a man many of us regard King of the Beats, without ever having to say his name.
