Ivey is a funky, four piece alternative band from the Gold Coast of Australia that has recorded and released their latest single, "Last Week," live.
Their not the first band to do this, but it's fun to see such a young group understand the importance of sounding the way you do live, on your records. Too many times we come across songs we absolutely fall in love through our headphones, only to waste money on disappointing live concerts and shows.
I personally hate when that happens, so I'm glad that even if the mix on this sounds a bit airy, they've managed to capture what we should expect when we go check them out at any venue, in the future.
Hell, they may even sound better as drums can have a more powerful impact when they are in your face.
Love the energy on this one. Worth a listen, for sure.
