Why do we like this?

Not that i'm trying to put any pressure on young ives. here, but she may just be the best thing to come out of New Zealand since Lorde or, as it were, The Lord of The Rings. Right, now that I read that back it seems as though that's a lot to live up to, but just take a listen to her newest single "172" and tell me you don't agree.

This fearsome songstress demands your unwavering attention in a three minute showdown of soaring vocals and bone chilling soundscapes. She really has crafted something quite rawly intense, but at the same time demonstrates undeniable fragility in all the right moments in what is a high spirited performance. 

One to keep an eye on in 2017 that's for sure.
