It's Friday y'all and not only is it a good day to get drunk, but it's a good day to get drunk to isle&fever's freshest release.
"Enuff" is a track on newest EP, Room To Breathe, from Los Angeles based duo, isle&fever. I heard "Enuff" a couple weeks back and was instantly attracted to their nu-disco sound. When their full EP released this morning, I was pleased with their ability to jump from tracks heavier on synth-pop, funk elements to tracks with predominant indie rock influence.
Room To Breathe is isle&fever's second lengthy release of 2019 following album Dime Piece, both of these being reminiscent of the '70s and '80s . Donald Eley and Tiger Smith have been busy people as they try to make a name for themselves. I will say, my motto is quality over quantity, but they have proven that you can have both.
"Enuff" features a playful synth progression and bright, lo-fi vocals. On top of that, they're using vintage synths that add to the nostalgic yearning I get when I hear this one. Isle&fever puts a modern, refined twist on traditional sounds.
Listen to Room To Breathe hereand I hope everyone has a great weekend :)
