The latest signing to Top Dawg entertainment is little known rapper Isaiah Rashad. The Tennessee native joins the likes of Kendrick Lamar, SchoolBoy Q, and Ab-Soul on the West Coast label that is quickly making a name for itself in the hip-hop world.
The 21-year-old has been at it for a number of years (check out his
SoundCloud) and dropped latest single "Shot U Down" a few days ago in conjunction with his signing. For a relative newcomer, Rashad displays some skills, with a steady flow and interesting wordplay over a beat comprising flutes and soft acoustics.
Rashad might still be a little raw on the mic, but he shows enough, and being on a label that includes Lamar can only enhance the Chattanooga rappers skill.
