There's a lot of female-fronted synth-pop that makes its way through my inbox, and honestly the vast majority ends up sounding run-of-the-mill.
There's good news for Spanish-Canadian artist Iris Campo, though: something about her new single "Follow Me" managed to catch my attention, and I'm here today to bring you the premiere.
The song comes as the Montreal-based artist's second single to-date, following November's "I'll Wait For You." If I had to pinpoint the exact moment that I decided it was worth sharing, I'd have to focus on the 0:41 introduction of blaring brass. Something about that just pumps the track up to a whole other level.
"Follow Me" will be available on IRIS' debut EP, set to be released sometime during the Northern Hemisphere's Autumn via Cult Nation. In the meanwhile, the track will be available on iTunes, Spotify and worldwide digital stores and streaming services starting Tuesday, April 7th.
