Why do we like this?

Danish band Iceage delivers a great track with “Pain Killer;” a multi-layered piece full of instruments, along with brilliant guest vocals from Sky Ferreira in an unfamiliar non-pop setting.

The track contains some hard thrashing drums found beneath blaring horns and some subtle, tightly played strings. It’s a cool combination of non-rock instruments while sounding every bit rock and roll. That has a ton to do with the sultry, dark feeling vocals, almost Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore-like.
