Why do we like this?

Since releasing her third studio album earlier this year, Jilian Medford (also known as IAN SWEET) put out two singles, one of them being a cover of Coldplay's "Yellow."

With a glittering instrumental, Medford's version of the song sonically recalls Japanese Breakfast's most recent record, Jubilee, with a similar levity and brightness.

The indie-rocker's vocal performance matches the overall energy of the song, producing a slightly ethereal rendition of the post-Britpop hit.
