Why do we like this?
It's been a while since we heard from Sydney-based band I Know Leopard, with the four-piece splitting their time between performing in other bands and recording their own material. That time away has proved fruitful, with a debut EP Illumina due for release in the coming months.
The first single from this EP is the eerily gorgeous "She," a track which I was not expecting from this group (based on their previous work, including their last single "Embers"). It's got those dream-inducing waves of sound that Beach House have become so adept at producing, and if they're not enough to lull you, vocalist Luke O'Loughlin's languid tones are bound to finish the job.
This first single is the epitome of a slow-burner, and I for one am looking forward to hearing what they have in store for us on Illumina.
