Raving about the latest single from I Know Leopard has become a bit of a given for me; I've covered each of the three singles from the Sydney band's debut EP Illumina (released earlier this year). While they spent a while getting things together in the lead-up to the EP, they have jumped straight back in this time around, dropping a brand new single.
"Perfect Picture" highlights the band's ability to create uplifting indie pop music with aplomb, and it's a great follow-up to their work on the EP. Despite its uptempo, kraut rock-inspired beat, it still maintains that dreamy feel that they've become known for over the past year. What I love about this band is their use of different structures to keep their dreamy pop creations fresh. "Perfect Picture" is just another example.
This single is the first from the band's second EP, so be prepared for a whole lot more from this awesome Aussie band in 2015.
