Why do we like this?

Sydney band I Know Leopard's debut EP might just be the longest wait for a record I've ever encountered. Having covered their debut single "Embers" back in 2012, I expected we'd be hearing a lot more from them very quickly. But life and other projects got in the way.

The five-piece's return to the spotlight has been an absolute delight to watch, and their recent singles "Hold This Tight" and "She" are both up there with my favorite indie pop releases of the last year.

The afformentioned EP Illumina is now just a month away, but we've just been afforded another peak into what to expect -- third single "Daisy Eyes" now available for your listening pleasure.

What makes their music interesting is their different approach to the indie pop genre, and this track is no different. This time around, they've utilized a more Brit-pop flavored backbone, with rolling percussion combined with plenty of playful guitar riffs. Topped off with the band's now signature drifting vocals, they've produced a winner in my books. I'm sure you'll agree.

Illumina is available digitally on May 16, not long now folks!
