Why do we like this?
I'Ced suffers from an unfortunate and tragic disease. It's called 'realism.' The 30-something musician, vocalist and producer hails from the midwest, not LA or NY. He makes music that incorporates traditional soul and R&B elements with modern incorporations. His songs don't usually go into triple digit BPM territory.
The talent is apparent, but there's little gimmick wise to get a 14 year-olds attention. That's why gems like "The Finale (Original Version)" are better suited for more mature minds.
The soulful ballad is a slow burn, a sizzle. Ced looks back to one of the premiere soul singer-songwriters of modernity for inspiration via sample and in the end finds himself with a beautiful piece of heartbreak.
