Why do we like this?

On "Marquee," LA singer-songwriter Huxlee uses open-tuned warbly guitars and asks why we sabotage positive and loving relationships, and if that sabotage ends when we reach some arbitrary life goal.

It's a truly enchanting song as it's kept simple, and in its simplicity becomes quite dreamy and hypnotic in the most soothing way. I've always got time for tracks where I can hear that soul and musicality have brought out what a potentially more polished production wouldn't have been able to.

No doubt she'll be out playing and promoting the drop of her latest EP, Appetite, so keep an eye on her socials if you're based in LA.
