Smooth and soulful is in the cards for the new HUNTAR track "Sk1n." Being so fresh into his career, this London producer has already developed a distinctive sound that sets him aside from the likes of Sohn and Jack Garratt.
At just under six minutes, this is a real journey in sound, building from the opening soft electro tones and building through verse and chorus to a powerful close. This is the kind of music I thought Sam Smith would end up making (after his first Disclosure collaboration), but I feel HUNTAR's vocals here -- with gravely intonation and equally as impressive range -- have helped him stand head and shoulder above this busy scene.
His enigmatic profile online has also allowed us to focus on the most important thing here: the quality of his music.
