Why do we like this?
Tom Krell of How To Dress Well sure knows how to lay on the white-boy R&B like no other indie artist right now. His sexy croons and electro backbeats found on "& It Was U" set the mood for his soon-to-be-released sophomore album Total Loss (due out September 17).
The minimalist production approach Krell uses in his tracks combined with his smooth, sultry vocals push boundaries between R&B, electronic and pop music - something not many artists can do so seamlessly. Comparable to his older slo-mo music found on 2010's Love Remains, I find this track rather lifted and engaging.
