Electronic producer Thero has been churning out the tracks this past year, boasting remixes of artists like The Chainsmokers, Noosa, and ARIZONA, just to name a few. One more artist to add to his remix arsenal? Australian R&B electronic artist Hopium.
Hazy and measured, this track drifts in slowly and creates a sense of space before thrusting you headfirst into the good stuff. Thero takes the indie-alternative vocal track and layers it atop future-bass inspired sytnhs, sparse percussion and sporadic electro flourishes.
If I'm being honest, the song is a bit difficult to come to grips with. It plays with your expectations of timing and the first drop is kind of confusing. Regardless, it's creative and has a great melody.
