With Melbourne's Hoodlem, the question I find myself asking isn't so much what's so good, but what's not good. I'm still yet to find anything.
The mysterious duo have gone from strength to strength since their initial appearances last year, with each release garnering them further critical acclaim. Their last single, "Old Friend," has been streamed over 200k time on SoundCloud, a pretty amazing feat considering their anonymity.
Now we've been treated to yet another indication of Hoodlem's musical prowess with their brand new single "IGOTU". A much more upbeat number than their sultry previous releases, they've marked themselves as a significant player in the modern-R&B genre. It's just a matter of time before these guys are a household name.
Perfectly timed, this new single drops just before Hoodlem's first international foray, with showcases at the upcoming Canadian Music Week followed by some shows in New York.
