Lofi indie rock is all the rage. Mind you, lofi anything is all the rage right now. And I think honeywhip managed to nail that vibe with their new single "feels good to laugh."
It reminds me a touch of Mac DeMarco, but has a much more "full" and lush sound. The song comes as the band's second single. They got their start in Tokyo but moved to LA.
And uhhh, I suppose none of that really matters now because they're probably stuck in a house somewhere and can't enjoy the outside. Which is partially what this song's about: making peace with isolation.
Lyrics and meaning aside, this one has a lovely melody and approach which is why I'm here sharing it with you today. Hopefully you agree :)
