Why do we like this?
Spectacular South African quartet Honeymoan have just signed to UK label Communion Records and announced the release of their of sophomore EPWeirdo. To celebrate the good news the Cape Town act have dropped the EP's playful first single "Still Here."
The futuristic percussion sounds merge with driving guitars for three minutes of perfect dance floor fodder, with Alison Rachel's joyful vocals once again bringing things together. Speaking on the track Rachel had this to say;
'Still Here' is simply about feeling the daily pressures that come with dealing with anxiety and depression and doing your best to hold things together when you really just can’t anymore. Although lyrically it’s the most personal song that I’ve written, it’s turned into a really upbeat indie rock track that’s good for dancing!
This is another top-notch indie-pop release from Honeymoan and if it's any indication of what to expect with Weirdo, hopes are high.
Weirdo is set for release February 21. Check out more of Honeymoan's work here.
