I'm a big fan of Spanish foursome Hinds. Their unpolished indie sound has an air of authenticity that suits their frenzied musicianship and howling harmonies.
"San Diego" is similar to Hinds' previous releases, with catchy guitar licks, raw production and the girls trademark off-kilter harmonies.
The girls posted on their SoundCloud page that the song is "about staying awake. Just staying awake." After listening, I can't agree more. It surely won't be putting you to sleep.
Leave Me Alone is released January 8.
