Hi-Fi Cali Endlessly (Ft. Rebekah Bartels)

There's a groovy salsa or latin feel to this electronic track by Twin Cities' duo Hi-Fi Cali, and I absolutely love it. Composer and producer Chris Bartels features his wife's vocals, remixed over the playground of synths and guitar hooks he's come up with, for a pop-inspired but electronic-focused, ambient tune. 

It takes inspiration from so many genres and other artists, my brain wants to place it as something it's heard before, but it can't. Bartels keeps messing around in the studio and trying whatever feels right; this time I think he needs to write this recipe down, because it's fantastic. Simply more evidence, as their band bio states, "that dance music does not have to be predictable."
