Why do we like this?
Herr Styler is a Paris-based duo who describe themselves as sounding "like David Lynch hanging out with Talking Heads or like the power-duo Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel never formed (thank God). Or like Kitano Takeshi featuring in a Hayao Miyazaki animation movie." So yeah, they are a little different.
This week they released the EP, Happiness Was A Light Sleeper, a near 20-minute, three-track epic that's equal parts melodic pop as it is upbeat electronica.
"We Are The One" is my favorite track from the EP. Featuring the vocal talents of Claudia Sorvillo, it's an uptempo pop ditty that reminds me of Little Dragon at their happiest.
