Why do we like this?
This song starts out on the slow-and-dark side. Judged for its first ~50 seconds, it's probably not going to win a lot of listeners over.
That all changes as the song approaches the 1-minute-mark and the tempo picks up. It's not just the tempo, though: it's the shift from dark-to-light, a lovely progression that keeps getting lovelier by the minute.
The Montreal-based artist is gearing up to release a new album called Someone New(yes, like this song), due for release in October.
