Why do we like this?
Having launched their debut album Prayer Before Birth at the end of October and now receiving rave reviews from the likes of The Guardian, London-based quartet Hejira have just appeared on my radar with their dark, atmospheric, genre-defying sound.

The album is filled with fuzzy vocals and capably crafted melodies, imbuing each track with its own distinct character. While the band released "Gypsy Of The Soul" as their new single on November 15, "Litmus Test" is the record's bold opener: a swelling sonic mirage of tentative strums, bewitching vocals, moody drums, and distorted guitars that make for a seriously captivating listen.
