Why do we like this?
Ahh, I welcome the weekend with a new track from Heavenly Beat, John Pena of Beach Fossil's side project. And it really is heavenly. This is a perfect song to listen to while winding down from a long week of work or school or whatever it is you shufflers are shuffling around doing.
"Suday" is pretty consistent through and through; super chill, super ambient, super whimsical. It's the definition of "bliss-pop," so if this doesn't get you feeling real nice then I'm at a loss. There's a gently plucked guitar, sleepy bass, and simple drums all combined to compliment the lazy and echoing vocals. All in all it's a sparse track but it's just rhythmic enough to keep you wanting more.
Which brings me to my next tidbit of info: this single is the title track to Heavenly Beat's 7" which was just released on October 11. So what are you waiting for? Go out and grab a copy and fall into a blissful abyss.
