Dreaming of His Name All The Time
Dreams clash in this mellow rom-com track — it's quirky, it's soft, it's joyful.
Hazel English takes such an easy premise - the dream partner - and decorates it with synths, pop, and some indie lyrics I'd die to have written myself. It doesn't take long for the narrative motif to kick in - the dream - but it's just so good at being a joyful little experience. The flowing, almost everyday lyric use, is peak new age and I'm in love. I don't think I'll be able to get over this, like a good dream, it's gonna go right in the notebook and stay forever.
Hazel English thank you.
