Why do we like this?
Sometimes all you really need is some nice pads and a decent bassline, and the jobs a good'un.
It's a recipe that's used to perfection on Harrison BDP's "Decompression". With a springy bassline that brings to mind the likes of Midland, as well as a whole host of nineties mainstays such as Mood II Swing and Masters at Work, the careful restraint in "Decompression" sounds like the work of an artist on much more than only his third proper release.
We're eager to see what else the young Cardiff producer has up his sleeve - you can keep up with his latest work via SoundCloud and Facebook. The Fair EP from which "Decompression" comes sold out pretty quickly - but you can still pick up a copy digitally from STRCTR Records Bandcamp.
