"Why Start A War" is the glorious first single from UK artist Hannah Jane Lewis. Growing up in the cultural hot-bed that is New York, Lewis has recently returned to her native England to work on her upcoming debut EP, with "Why Start A War" a taste of what to expect.
This is an effervescent synth-pop eruption similar to Ellie Goulding and Tove Lo, with Lewis' heavenly vocals flourishing over the entrancing electronic production.
On the songs themes, Lewis had this to say;
"'Why Start A War' is about when you really want to help someone you can see is struggling but they won't let you in. So you kind of have to watch them battle it out in their mind and just be there when its over, which can be hard when its someone you're close to’”.
Lewis' self-title EP is due out June 14.
