Why do we like this?
If you were able to attend Pickathon, a small music festival in the woods near Portland, you were lucky enough to witness a duet between Feist and Andrew Bird. If you didn't, you can imagine what it was like by listening to this track from Vancouver up-and-comer Hannah Epperson, who sounds much like a cross between the two indie pop heavyweights.
Armed with her violin and stunning falsetto, Hannah has obviously been taking notes from Mr. Bird. The finger scales and looping practice is paying off, as "Shadowless" was hand-picked to score some new ads for the taxi/app company Uber, which is blowing up in San Francisco. Hannah is currently in the running for BC's prestigious Peak Performance Project, and I'm sure she would appreciate your vote here. Here's hoping there's lots more coming from her in the future.
