Why do we like this?
I'll be honest: I didn't really know who Giorgio Moroder was until Daft Punk released their album this year. Since then, I've gleaned that he was pretty darn instrumental in the development of the electronic music scene, though I haven't delved deeper.
Regardless of my depth of knowledge, I'm pretty sure that having him remix HAIM's "Forever" is a pretty big deal. And to top that, he's a whopping 73 years old now.
Unfortunately, six decades of experience doesn't necessarily translate to a blow-away remix, and this one certainly isn't going to revolutionize the industry. That said, it's still quite a good one, and certainly deserves today's Song of the Day slot.
