With the release of "Think Face," via Heist or Hit, came Guest Singer's announcement of a sophomore EP, Limbo Days, to be released on February 14th.
Guest Singer is a project from Doncaster-based Jake Cope, Paul Burdett, and France Lahmar. Cope devises "dark party songs; anti-motivational anthems for the post-truth generation." Within this track, there is a prominent juxtaposition between the upbeat, '80s-inspired synths and the pleading lyrics, "Why don't we just skip to the part where we get what we want?"
Our current world of digital enticement generates an intensified extrinsic motivation to create a projected facade. "Think Face" is a nod to deviating from these habits and enjoying the tangibility of reality.
